Why are you applying for the Event Team?:

Ive been going back and forth on applying for a staff team on many different servers and decided that I should just go for it. Also some of my friends are in the event team so that's cool, and I want to be more involved with echoes as a whole, event team seems like the best call.

What creative skills would you be bringing to the Event Team?:

Well I’m a story writer at heart, so creative writing is one of my specialities. I am aware creating and staffing events does not completely line up with that but I think that mindset is still more than able to be helpful.

Do you have any other prior experience on other Minecraft Servers?:

Unfortunately no, that's why I want to start now. :3 Though, if it counts I have had friends who are in staff positions ask me for help with either being an extra role or help with coming up for ideas.

Scenario Questions:

You are hosting a large Event and a group of players becomes disruptive and is not following the rules. How do you handle the situation?:

It would have to go in steps I think, a warning at first, then maybe pulling them aside and talking with them. At some point if it keeps going that would become a disobeying staff thing and that's a larger issue.

How would you encourage player participation in Events?:

Rewards are an amazing motivator, so that often works really well. However not every situation will allow for physical rewards, but leaning into the human innate question of “How does this affect me” can create engagement. 

Availability & Commitment Questions:

How much time can you dedicate per week to Event planning and hosting?:

Pretty much any time outside of my school life I'd feel for stuff like that. I can't give a perfect number but that's pretty much any time in the afternoon. I don't exactly have a life outside of online.

Do you have any commitments (i.e. school, work, etc.) that might affect your availability?:

Please provide 2-3 Event ideas that you have and 1 Step-by-Step of an Event’s layout (Example below):

I think a swap market would be cool. It would be pretty simple too, just set up some stalls and let people trade items they may have. 

• Have an area with a  few stalls and tables for people to stand at.

• Some people would be selling, visiers would be buying.

• People trade what they don't want for what they do.

Maybe dancing would be cute? People dress up and you can find or bring a dance partner with you, I think more “date night” events are fun.

• There would be a space somewhere for people to dance with music and maybe food/drink.

• A space for the people by themselves to hangout or find someone to dance with.

• And there would be some sweet music too.

As a flash event, if we lean into the supernatural aspect, maybe there's some rain that does something to the mind of those who stay outside for too long? 

• This one is tricky since it would just happen and would require a lot more thought into it.

• Maybe it would affect them like the wisteria flowers and make them slowly go crazy.

• The only issue with this one is there isnt a reason or outcome for this yet but I think it could lean into something else later, like as a prologue.
