Preferred Name: Charlie

Age (optional): ..18

OOC:

Shortly describe 5 laws or behaviors that officers in the U.S. have to follow:

They must at all times do their part to instill their duty and serve the community.

They must respect and adhere to the Human Rights Act during their duty, not once faltering in their ability to do so.

They must only use a reasonable amount of force when necessary to perform an arrest or prevent crime.

They must keep information on confidential matters, confidential, no matter what, unless it's stated they're allowed to do so.

They must not inflict intentional harm on anyone no matter what. No abuse whatsoever will be tolerated.

Why do you want to join Echoes’ police faction?: I'd like to join the Echoes police faction due to the fact I find it entertaining and watch videos and TV about officer's providing justice.. And sometimes injustice, all the time. I find it to be rather interesting OOCly, as i've always wanted to personally become a Forensic Psychologist, and i'm on my way to achieving that. I find that this will help me find out a little more on how things would work and help me decide fully that it's the job I well and truly want. Although i'm British and the laws slightly, or sometimes significantly differ here, i'm still determined to learn.

What would you do if you accidentally broke a law, and someone began to argue with you OOC?: If I was to break a law, which is possible as everyone makes mistakes and someone was to start arguing, I'd end up calling staff so they could deal with the OOC matter, before getting back into RP. Of course I'd apologize for my part of it.

If someone was insulting you OOC for not following a common law (such as reading their rights)  what would you do/say?: If they was insulting me OOCly I wouldn't personally say anything, instead I'd go ahead and ask for staff once again due to the fact things like that just aren't tolerated. They shouldn't be insulting me for something that was likely a mistake, they should instead try and guide me in the right direction OOCly so I can fix it.

What do you do if you arrest someone? Be short, but detailed: When you arrest someone, you tell them they're under arrest and proceed to calmly explain why, meanwhile telling them they aren't free to leave and reading them their Miranda Rights. Afterwards you calmly escort them to the station, putting them in a cell until they are tried in court.

If someone is behaving strangely, as if they were using illegal substances, what do you do?: If you are on your own, you don't approach them. You call for backup, wait for backup and then go ahead and try to calmly try to deal with the situation. You don't approach it with aggression as it can easily elevate the situation more than it is necessary.

If someone will not give you their identity and you don’t have probable cause, what do you do?: You have to calmly let them go and let them leave, possibly go ahead and question other people around just in case for information that may possibly give you a probable cause to arrest or detain.

If someone refuses to identify themselves because of the 5th amendment, but you have probable cause, what do you do?: You'd have to calmly explain to them that you have probable cause to arrest/detain them, and that in the moment they are unable to resist said arrest under the suspicion that they have committed said crime that you'd been called for. You'd then have to calmly state that for that reason they'd have to identify themselves, or they'd be going against the law.

Provide us with your character’s backstory. Please attempt to limit yourself to more-or-less 1,500 words (maximum 2,500): Angelica D'Amato was a young girl in Sicily, Italy,  only 15 when she began partaking in. . Questionable activities. She'd start to gain a name for herself, gaining street credit as some may say. Nonetheless as she got older, she only got worse. She began getting in more and more trouble, causing her to flee Italy and go to America to live out a new life. And that is when she'd find herself right in the arms of East Falls, getting married to Lucien Dragos and starting anew. But then things started to warp and change, her feelings faltering for the man she once loved, and beginning to focus on a man who went by the name of Mason Reed. She started to have an affair, finding herself falling head over heels in love with Mason Reed she'd divorce Lucien, choosing to stay by Mason's side and officially blossoming into a new relationship. All the while she'd be working in East Falls Clinic before inevitably getting fired due to her struggles with her mental health. That is when she took some time to herself to re-cooperate, her mental health bettering as she'd then move on with her life, deciding to now get herself a new place of work. And that landed her in this situation, applying for East Falls Police Department to become a new Cadet.

IC:

A short message would be here. It read, “Howdy! Thank you for applying to our police department here in East Falls! Please fill out the form and turn it in.

Name: Angelica D'Amato

Age: 31

Education (HS Diploma, GED, etc.):  A Level Psychology, A Level Criminology and Sociology.

Why do you want to be an officer for our community?: I would like to be an Officer for the community due to the fact I'd like to make the town feel a lot safer for civilian's, making them feel at ease and not have to be anxious about crime in every corner. I have seen a fair share of delinquents, and I'd like to put an end to the crimes and trouble they cause for the community.

Have you had any previous training or teaching in our academy? I have not had any previous training nor teaching.

What responsibilities do you hold as a police officer? As a police officer you not only hold the responsibilities of keeping the community safe, but you hold the responsibilities of keeping fellow colleagues safe too. You also must withhold a feeling of trust within the community, to make sure that they feel safe around you. After all, you wouldn't want them feeling as if they cannot trust an officer to help them.

Do you plan on advancing our staff hierarchy? I do eventually plan on advancing the staff hierarchy, with time and patience. As people say, slowly wins the race, no?

Another message was placed here: “Last question.. this one is optional:  what’s our real motto?:” "Protect and Serve."
