Preferred Name: nightmare

IGN (In-game name): FlyRiceCakes

Discord: presidentnightmxre.

Age (optional): 19

OOC:

Shortly describe 5 laws or behaviors that officers in the U.S. have to follow:

Deadly force must have a reason

Follow ALL constitutional laws

Must read Miranda rights

Report all misconduct

Treat everybody equally and fairly

Why do you want to join Echoes’ police faction?: To further my roleplay experience and knowledge.

What would you do if you accidentally broke a law, and someone began to argue with you OOC?: To move the discussion ICly because it hasn't broken a server rule and therefore, not need to take it OOCly. However, if they continue to take it OOCly I will call upon an admin to deal with it.

If someone was insulting you OOC for not following a common law (such as reading their rights)  what would you do/say?:I would tell them to move it ICly since it hasn't broken a server rule. If they refuse and continue OOCly and I make a ticket and call upon an admin or mod to take care of it.

What do you do if you arrest someone? Be short, but detailed:Firstly read their Miranda rights and reason for arrest to avoid any civil lawsuit. Then I would transport them to the correct holding cells and fill out all needed documents recording the arrest.

If someone is behaving strangely, as if they were using illegal substances, what do you do?: Make them blow into a breathalyzer and any refusal would give me a reason to arrest them because they have refused a lawful order.

If someone will not give you their identity and you don’t have probable cause, what do you do?: Mostly not much however I could radio in and keep that person on watch depending on the situation.

If someone refuses to identify themselves because of the 5th Amendment, but you have probable cause, what do you do?: With probable cause it makes it a lawful order and therefore requires that citizens identify themselves and any further refusal would lead to an arrest and or trespass (Depending on the situation).

Provide us with your character’s backstory: Please attempt to limit yourself to more-or-less 1,500 words (maximum 2,500): Being born to an Irish father and a Japanese mother I would spend my time bouncing between both places trying to figure out where I belonged in my family. From a young age, I would spend my time working on the fields while making the trek up to the shrine on the weekends. Although I would go with her I would never actually pray and would sit on the benches outside as people walked by giving me weird looks. Having a larger family made it difficult to get my own time and be able to have a chance to learn about my mother's religion and spending a lot of time farming with my dad distracted me more. When I was finally able to start attending school I was already far behind the other students but it didn't stop me from wanting to achieve my goal. Having to work on the farm and attend school made my day very tiresome and it didn't help that I would skip out doing my homework to read books that I had borrowed from the library. Seeing that I was barely passing my parents thought it best I moved in with my uncle in the city who was formally a police captain. So at the young age of 11 I was sent off to live with my uncle in a larger city. No longer having to work on the farm and with a strict family I was forced into taking extra classes and enrolling in a cram school, but the only thing that ever crossed my mind was hearing my uncle talk about his police officer days. So as I finally got my grades back up after months of cram school I was finally able to start a youth camp that showed kids basic tatics and all to know about sheriff work. My uncle believed for once that my grades were satisfactory. Turning 18 I had finished school and gave my hand at becoming a police officer. Being denied by a few though I set my bar even higher and made me wanna try more. After working for years at front desk and not doing the real police work there for the majority of my 20s I was able to gain a lot of invaluable knowledge that I have. Allowing me to move up and become a real officer. I worked endlessly on my knowledge but soon enough the captain finally gave me a chance.
