Why are you applying for the Event Team?:
I'm applying for the Event team as I find great fun in creative writing, usually writing stories when I'm bored or when I find myself having spare time to do so. I usually specialize in writing Crime Fiction, however I'm more than capable at writing other genre's such as Supernatural, Fantasy and Thriller and many more.
What creative skills would you be bringing to the Event Team?:
I can bring vocabulary, imagination, intriguing lore and logic. I take great pride in what I'm able to offer and will give it my all when I make or take part in an Event.
Do you have any other prior experience on other Minecraft Servers?:
I do not have prior experience in any other servers, however I'm very aware of what to do.
Scenario Questions:
You are hosting a large Event and a group of players becomes disruptive and is not following the rules. How do you handle the situation?:
I'd try to calm the situation down myself, however if that does not go according to plan I will ask for a Moderator or any other available staff member online to de-escalate the situation.
How would you encourage player participation in Events?:
I would make little advertisements in the Discord Server and the Minecraft server leading up to the event, maybe even including a participation reward for well. . Participating in the event! Including but not limited to; In-Game Currency, Discord Nitro, In-Game Items.
Availability & Commitment Questions:
How much time can you dedicate per week to Event planning and hosting?:
I can dedicate quite a bit of time per week, although I'm unsure of an exact amount of time to say, as I'll specify below for the next question.
Do you have any commitments (i.e. school, work, etc.) that might affect your availability?:
I am a carer for my mother and currently partake in Online College, so that may affect my availability from time-to-time. Although that doesn't mean I won't be available at all. I'll actually be available quite a lot of the time, and even if I'm busy I'd be writing in between doing things.
Please provide 2-3 Event ideas that you have and 1 Step-by-Step of an Event’s layout (Example below):
‘A house catches on fire!’ (Please be more detailed than this)
1. Citizens gather for a house party
2. Appetizers are passed around to everyone
3. The host goes to make the main course when something goes wrong and the kitchen sets ablaze!
4. EFPD shows up and takes care of the fire and any injured people.
Again, be more detailed than this in your examples please.
First Example:
'Chaos in the East Falls Police Department ensues, scramble!'
1. At first, everything would be quiet, until a scratching at the back door of the Police Station is heard, followed by echo-ey groaning sounds throughout the station. Of course the Officer's would experience this first, causing them to panic and wearily look around, finding nothing and returning to home base.
2. This is when the chaos would begin to take place. Suddenly the doors to all the Cells would open on their own, letting out prisoner's. . And a few ghostly beings, into the police station! The Officer's would then make a call-out to the whole of Echoes via Radio, telling them to be aware and cautious that prisoner's have escaped, not yet knowing of their Ghostie friends.
3. Discovery of the Ghostly Amigos. A state of fear and panic would wash over the Police Station as the Officer's would run out, spirits floating after them with a rather quick pace. The Officer's would scream and shout in distress, seeming crazy until the citizen's saw them too.
4. Everyone now discovering the spirits begins to scream and run around, being chased around by said spirits. This is when a team of what I'd like to call, Ghost busters, (Get it?) Would burst into East Falls, attempting to capture each ghost and banish them back to the place they originally came from.
Second Example:
'A fun day at the beach. . Or is it?'
1. A beach party would be held by the Mayor, and possibly the soon-to-be mascot, welcoming new and older citizen's into attending and taking a dip in the sea! For a while the party would be nothing but fun, drinks, food and possibly music available to indulge in.
2. Things would begin to change, the day growing colder as the night creeped on. Nobody had noticed how quick time had went by until now, however they decided to continue onwards. That is until multiple people started spotting silver, smooth fins. What was that. . ?
3. Sharks! A whole swarm of SHARKS! Sharks would begin to swim around the Citizen's, drilling fear into them as they'd sprawl all over the place, trying to find their way back to the beach. However. . The sharks would fight back!
4. Clinic Workers would be called to the scene to deal with the aftermath, taking care of the people that was a part of the Shark's feast. Fortunately, the Mayor and the Mascot somehow made it out unscathed. . That's a little weird though, don't you think?
(After the event, all character's who sustained injuries from the Shark's would no longer suffer from them, forgetting what happened to them to get into such a state.)
