How much do you know about first-aid and general medicine?:
Basic sutures, how to check for a pulse, how to cauterize wounds on the field are some of the things i learned and have down pact! I have done medical RP on SRP for 4 years, being both a psych and a doctor working on the virus events, curing viruses treating 2 pandemics within SRP from long ago, as well as starting off as a surgeon later after leaving, yet quit due to RL  issues/work/life ect. SEOULRP whenever it was up in the beta as deputy director both times doing check ups, training, file keeping ect. on a fantasy rp server i was a head medic, who healed without magic, using herbal knowledge and other ways to disinfect wounds and sterilize objects. i did that for for 7 months before i quit, so i have practice away from high advance tech. in total i have about 5.5 years doing medical RP! With those rps I feel like I'd have the perfect middle ground here on Echos!

Give us 3 examples of injuries, and their resolution:

Broken bone: Leg-  An x-ray is provided first and foremost as well as getting the patient prepped for surgery and ready to be under anesthetic. Once the x-ray shows where on the bone it is broken,  you would prep to realign it. Praying its a clean break they wont have much surgery to be done , just the leg set back in place, bandaged and set in a cast to heal for 6-10 weeks depending on the age and damage.
If the break is messy they need to be seen by a surgeon the x-ray would show where the bone fragments are and the surgeon would have to find and remove said fragments and fill in the shattered part with a bone filling pate unless the leg is too far gone then it would likely cause for amputation.

However I'm going to end it  say it was a clean break, and then you would send them home with crutches and a mild pain killer such as Tylenol.

Stab/GSW: Abdomen- With any stab wound, GSW, or any foreign material that enters the body you want to disinfect it first. then get an x-ray to see if for a broken off item or bullet, where its lodged, what its hitting and again for a bullet if it went clean through. You keep the patient on an iv with a o neg blood bag hung and keep them sedated as you safely remove any debris, the bullet whatever type of  broken off objects or glass and disinfect the wound. Check for internal bleeding, or damaged organs. if nothing is heavily damaged or  there is no internal bleeding, you then would suture them up and bandage them tightly to prevent anymore bleeding. You provide them with mild pain medication such as  Tylenol for after care treatment. you also remind them not to lift anything over 10 lbs for at least a three weeks.

Seizures: x- If a patient starts seizing on the bed, you would call for someone to get a crash cart just incase as you hold their arms down and roll them onto their side, so that they do not choke on their own saliva. Once the seizure passes you would  send them for a CT scan to see if it is a neurological issue to rule out a brain bleed or nerve damage. You would also run blood tests, urine tests and other neurological tests to see if you can find the source of the seizures, before being able to provide treatment. At this time you also want to keep them on a heart monitor to keep an eye on them. You want to keep them on a Stabilizer to keep the seizures controlled while you run the tests.
Usually if its a neuro issue it is typically from a head injury, during fights, sports or a slip and fall accidents. other time it can be a genetic make up issue so you normally want to keep the patient monitored at all times and get a full family history and medical history to provide the right treatment.

Why do you want to join the hospital faction on Echoes? Answer this OOC:

I like MedRP! I always have, its my go to faction that I enjoy, where I can deal with all the RP one could ask for and more. I love learning medical things and seeing complex rp unfold, sometimes yes its haha funny mem rp, but other times its heavily detailed ! its exciting and it draws me in. I truly love medrp. All of my close friends have moved to Echos, so if I'm going to play and there are time i cant bother them I can always have fun doing med rp!

How would you deal with someone that was FailRPing inside of the hospital?:

Call them out on it and give a light warning. For me you get 3 warnings, Then i would show them to the rules and guidelines and if its still not working they get told to leave.  If it is to a point that they are harassing in chat and or dms then I'd call a staff member , if one isn't online id take a recording of the situation through medal and ignore the player till something can be done or simply log off and let the rest of the clinical staff know about the issue with the person.

Provide us with 2 some-what detailed actions of your character helping an injured person. You can choose the injury or illness.

/me Took a fast peek at the persons wrists looking for a DNR bracelet as she took two of her fingers placing it on the persons wrist, upon not seeing one she continues checking for a pulse counting the seconds in her head. Upon not finding one on the wrist  she then checked the neck counting again, still finding nothing. She presses her hands at the middle section of the sternum before starting chest compressions, once again counting to herself as well as giving mouth to  mouth in 15 second intervals before checking for a pulse again. Upon finding a pulse she moves them to the OR and gets them on a heart monitor, and oxygen machine and calls in a doctor to take over, and treat the patient while seeing if the patient has any form of ID so she can  find their medical file if they have one.

/me Made sure the patient was dressed down in a gown before she started, she didn't want any cross contamination or infection to spread or develop. She prepped her sterilization tray after placing her gloves on getting ready to work. She took and antiseptic wipe cleaning the area around the gash on the patients back before flushing the wound itself with saline to clean out any debris and to get a clear look at the wound to make sure nothing important was cut or left inside the wound. She of course would ask the patient how it happened and if it was stated that they were assaulted  she would offer to radio pd so the person could make a report, as she worked on them. upon closing  up  she gave one more wipe down with a disinfectant wipe being sure to  double clean the area once more before adding  a few dissolvable stitches to the wound in a cruciate pattern. she then would lie a thick gauze over the wound and have it held down with medical tape.

Provide us with your character’s backstory. Please attempt to limit yourself to more-or-less 1,500 words (maximum 2,500):

Eun-Na was born and raised in Daegu, South Korea. She's the Youngest of three siblings Her life started as most average stereo typical middle class families do. Her Mother is an attorney in Korea, and constantly had cases, dealing with child and families and domestic abuse. Her father was a Surgeon who ended up traveling a lot to do surgeries in other

countries and cities.

On one of his final trips, he had asked his daughters if they wanted to live with him for a bit in the states, as he had a job offer for 5 years that would pay well. Her older two sisters had stuff going on already one in college the other in beauty school so Eun chose to go with her father. She enjoyed her pre-teen years in America, learning the language seeing sight and decided she wanted to make something of her time there.

Her father pulled a few strings to help her get the boost into a few early college classes, and she was by no means not even qualified for it. She studied and worked hard countless hours for her nursing license, and while she enjoyed  working with helping out the doctors, she found more of a love for the mental side of medicine.

She put countless hours and work into becoming a med student to become psychiatrist. By the time she was 23 her father had told her he is retiring and heading back to Korea, he had offered to help her transfer everything over so she can continue her studies and degrees but she denied the offer. She said her goodbyes and kept working hard, avoiding alcohol, parties and other distractions to be able to earn her degrees.

Once graduated she called home to tell her family she would stay two or three more years before coming home...unless something changes that plan? That part is up to fate~

What position are you applying for? You may state a position that is not currently available, and it will be checked once that slot opens:

Psychiatrist.

Why do you want to work on our team?:

I feel I could learn a thing or two from a hands on tiny clinic, in hospitals I could and would get lost among 100 other people fighting for the same position as I am. Starting off in a small location with heavy workloads, meeting new people and getting first hand experience to see how i could really do is something that entices me greatly.
I have been around the clinic a bit to se what type of people come in and how very few times everyone seems over worked or people have to wait, and if i have the ability to help, id like to do so.
i have met a few of the current staff members at the clinic and i can say they are very kind and are lovely to get to know, that kind of energy is a place i would greatly love to work.
Finding your perfect job, is like a puzzle piece. everyone has a spot, everything has its place and it all leads to one bigger picture, and i truly think i can find my place in this clinic.

I'm not one to shy away from a challenge, I dont mind the pressure and I am hard working and a bit head strong, a few of my traits are that I'm a  bit of a softie but firm when I need to be and I can be an overly, kind-hearted person however in average day to day life with what I have seen just idly watching by, the world needs a little kindness, especially in a medical field.

Provide a list of staff titles and their jobs/descriptions:

Nurse- Does basic check ups, Takes care of minor scrapes and sutures as well as assisting doctors or psych's as needed

Doctor- Treats broken bones, fractures, provides a treatment plan for the patient and prescribes them medicine depending on their  diagnosis

Psych- Gives therapy and figures out diagnosis' to help patients through things that can cause them to have issue OR helps them find  a treatment plan based off of what they have been diagnosed with

Surgeon- Does life saving and cosmetic surgeries on the body. From reforming broken bones, to implants, to heart surgery, they do all the harder more stressful medical work, since one wrong move can end someone in a heart beat.

Whilst in the hospital how should you and your co-workers behave? If you see something wrong, what should you do about it?:

All on duty staff should behave professionally. Gentle reminders wouldn't hurt when they are upset with another staff member or patient would hurt, or removing them from whatever situation they are in if its too overwhelming for them.

What experience do you have working in a medical setting? If none, put N/A:

I have done medical RP on 3 different servers in different time periods as well, Some cyberpunk future, modern day and fantasy.

What responsibilities do you hold as a hospital staff member?:

Treat patients, Uphold the HIPPA laws and always act professional while on duty. Be respectful to all patients even when they are not doing the same in kind, however do not let them walk all over you.

How would you manage a patient that was being uncooperative or rowdy?:

Medically for Physical treatment? Try to be as polite and professional as possible, they could entirely just be scared if that doesn't work I'd gently reminding them they do not have to be treated and can sign a waiver to be released if they do not wish to go through treatment or to cooperate.

If it is a Psychosis issue, the same calm level of approach being gentle and kind to not further upset them. If that isn't working or they start to get hostile, sedation and restraints would be in order before they cause harm to themselves or others.

The paper ended with another message: “Thank you for taking the time to fill out this paper. We truly appreciate it! Before you can submit this, please sign the document!”
