Why do you want to be a black market lead?:I've liked roleplaying on different servers for awhile and the dark action packed side of it is what I enjoy best and I think on this server I would enjoy and take it to another level, black market lead is something I personally think I'm good at so the opportunity would be great.

What would you do as one of the leads?:I would create not only a fun an interactive space in the black market community but I would use a serious attitude and give it my all to become a great lead in the black market scene.

How would you preform your deals?:As I have no idea of the map layout or the items included in the black market space I'm unsure of the limitless opportunities for the section but if I had the opportunity to I would change the deals styles due to the seriousness of the situation so for example a low quantity of a substance or a low rarity weapon I would do either a shady alley way or a car drop off, for a higher risk deal I would love the idea of 2 major black market leads or a large gang meeting up with armed security doing a deal and if we are talking about items getting imported as a deal  I like the idea of boats transporting loot or delivery trucks with the items hidden in a disguised boxes of an item casual sold like cereal boxes. As stated at the start I don't know what the server layout is so I couldn't give the most ideal way to distribute or acquire.

What are your accomplishments, criminal wise, on Echoes: 1984? N/A

What is your character’s back story, and how did they come to be a black market lead?:Hiroshi Tanaka grew up in the shadow of Osaka's gritty streets, where survival was a daily battle. Born into a family of modest means, his childhood was defined by hardship. His father, a once-promising factory worker, had been crippled in an industrial accident when Hiroshi was only five. Without the strength to work, his father sank into depression, relying on painkillers and alcohol to numb the bitterness of his situation. His mother, a factory seamstress, worked long hours to make ends meet, but it was never enough.

Hiroshi learned early that the world was unforgiving. His father’s bitterness and his mother’s exhaustion meant there was little attention to spare for a young boy trying to make sense of life. The few memories of warmth he had came from his grandmother, who lived in a cramped apartment nearby and taught him the old ways of their family’s traditions. But her death when he was ten marked the beginning of his harsh reality.

School was no refuge. Hiroshi was small for his age, and he quickly became a target for bullies. His classmates taunted him for his worn-out clothes, his dishevelled hair, and his shy demeanour. He fought back when he could, but more often than not, it was easier to hide. The humiliation of being weak, ignored, and invisible built a rage inside him, a fury he couldn’t articulate. He felt like the world owed him something, but it only ever took from him.

At 14, after another vicious beating and a sizable growth spurt, Hiroshi found an outlet: the streets. Osaka’s underground markets were alive with everything from stolen electronics to illegal goods, and Hiroshi, hungry for respect, gravitated toward them. He started with small-time hustles, selling stolen goods for local thieves. It was a far cry from the innocent boy he once was, but it was the first time he felt a sense of control, a way to navigate the harsh world that had chewed him up.

Over time, Hiroshi’s reputation grew. He was shrewd, observant, and quick with his hands. He had a knack for acquiring goods, whether they were luxury items, counterfeit designer clothes, or even illicit substances. By 18, he had become a go-between for high-end goods and the black market, forging connections with influential figures in the underworld. He’d come to learn that there were no real lines in the world of crime-only opportunities and people who took advantage of them.

However, Hiroshi wasn’t blind to the dangers. He’d seen the violence of the yakuza first-hand, the bloodshed that followed when deals went wrong, and the ruthlessness of men who’d been hardened by years in the criminal trenches. He knew he had to stay smart, stay detached, or risk becoming another casualty in a city that consumed the weak. But despite the fear, he couldn’t stop. The world of black market dealings had become his refuge, the only place he felt he could belong.

As Hiroshi climbed higher in the ranks he moved to a new area of interest where his skills would benefit the most, the states in a little place called East falls away from heated police areas but through all this he never forgot the gnawing hunger that had driven him as a boy. But now, he wasn’t just fighting for survival. He was fighting to rewrite the story of his life-a story that began in the shadows of a broken family and would, perhaps, end in the darkness of the underworld he now ruled.

Provide us with 2 complete fighting scenarios. Include information such as the ages, names, and the commands that would be performed (/me, etc.): Names:

• Victor (26 years old) • Ethan (28 years old) Setting: A narrow, dimly lit alley behind a nightclub. The tension between Victor and Ethan is palpable after years of rivalry. Dialogue and Actions: • Victor /me (clenching fists): “You should’ve stayed out of this, Ethan. This is my territory.” • Ethan /me (grinning): “Your territory? I think you’ve forgotten who owns this street.” Action: • Victor: /me Launches a quick left hook towards Ethan’s jaw./roll x failed • Ethan: /me Dodges to the side, grabbing Victor’s arm and twisting it behind his back./roll x succeeded • Victor: /me Grunts in pain but uses his free arm to elbow Ethan in the ribs./roll x succeeded • Ethan: /me Releases Victor’s arm momentarily to step back and regain his balance. “Nice move… but it’s not enough.”

Names: • Sakura (22 years old) • Kei (24 years old) Setting: A sparring mat in a dojo. Both fighters are in full sparring gear, and their sensei is watching nearby. Dialogue and Actions: • Sakura /me (smiling confidently): “Ready to lose, Kei?” • Kei /me (focused): “We’ll see who’s the better fighter.” Action: • Sakura: /me Steps in quickly with a jab, aiming for Kei’s face. /roll x failed • Kei: /me Blocks the jab and counters with a low kick to Sakura’s leg./roll x failed • Sakura: /me Hops back to avoid the kick, then attempts a spinning back kick aimed at Kei’s chest./roll x failed • Kei: /me Sidesteps and grabs Sakura’s leg, attempting to take her down with a sweep.

Provide us with 3 examples of permission escalation. Make it clear:

Example 1: Requesting to Inflict Serious Injury-

Context: A combat scenario where one character wants to deal a potentially serious injury, like breaking a bone or inflicting a cut.

Character A: “I think this fight’s gone on long enough. Mind if I aim for something a bit more critical this time?”

Character B: “What do you have in mind?”

Character A: “A powerful punch to your arm, enough to fracture the bone if it connects.”

Character B: “Alright, let’s go for it. But maybe leave it at a deep bruise for now if it doesn’t fully connect.”

Example 2: Asking to Knock the Opponent Unconscious-

Context: One character wants to end the fight decisively by rendering their opponent unconscious, which would leave the other character vulnerable.

Character A: “My character’s getting desperate here. Would you be okay if I try to knock your character out with this next move?”

Character B: “Yeah, that works. Just make it a headlock instead of a punch so there’s a way for them to wake up soon after.”

Example 3: Seeking Approval for a Finishing Move- Context: In a high-stakes battle, one character asks to attempt a decisive, finishing move that could significantly harm or defeat the other character. Character A: “Can I go for a finishing move here? I want to attempt a powerful strike aimed at your character’s torso.” Character B: “Sure, that could be interesting! Let’s say it could be a big hit, but it leaves my character dazed instead of fully defeated.”
