Why do you want to be a black market lead?:

I want to be a BML because it would be a fun experience. I have been playing Minecraft for most of my life, particularly on roleplay servers, and I’ve tried various things within the game. I think applying for this position would allow me to gain more experience, meet new people, and develop new skills that can be beneficial in the real world- positive and constructive.

In addition to my passion for the game, I’ve honed my creativity by building intricate structures and developing engaging storylines in roleplay scenarios This creative outlet allows me to express myself and fosters teamwork as I collaborate with others to create immersive experiences. I thrive in environments where I can contribute and learn from others, and I believe that being a BML would enhance this aspect of my gaming life.

Moreover, I’m excited about the prospect of taking on leadership responsibilities, helping to guide new players, and ensuring that everyone enjoys their experience within the game. I have strong communication skills that will be essential in moderating organizing events, and keeping the community engaged in criminal roleplay. Overall, I see this opportunity as a chance to combine my love for Minecraft with personal growth and community building.

What are your responsibilities as one of the leads?:

I would be responsible for selling weapons to make money on the black market and providing criminals with weapons and other items within the server. This allows people to engage in the criminal community with freedom as long as they follow the rules in the server.

How would you perform your deals?:

I would always wear some sort of formal yet blackout attire and a mask. If it was possible, I would use a BML line that people can call when I am offering my services for them to tell me what they want, and in return, I will tell them where to meet for them to pay and retrieve their weapons. I would do it in a secret place inside the server so that my services remain discrete.

What are your accomplishments, criminal wise, on Echoes: 1984?:

N/a. Echoes’ not open.

What is your character’s back story, and how did they come to be a black market lead? Try to limit yourself to 1,500 words (2,500 max):

(1,309 words)

Lucien Dragos grew up in a challenging environment that steered him towards a life intertwined with criminal elements. His upbringing, marked by hardship and absence of positive role models, made the allure of street life appealing. The streets were battlegrounds where loyalty was forged through shared struggles, leading him to seek belonging among those operating outside the law.

From a young age, Lucien navigated a world filled with danger and moral ambiguity, constantly exposed to crime and the thrill of quick gains. Each petty theft and small victory reinforced his belief that success could be achieved through illicit means, blurring the lines between right and wrong. The initial thrill of stealing a bike or breaking into a car quickly evolved into more serious offenses, drawing him deeper into a network of crime. Lucien became known among his peers for his resilience and fearlessness, traits that quickly earned him a reputation within his community. As he matured, his choices were shaped by his difficult upbringing and relationships with criminals, often overshadowing any conventional ambitions. Loyalty to his peers took precedence, with the thrill of the chase and camaraderie becoming central to his identity. Every decision was fueled by an adrenaline rush that made it easy to ignore the risks. The streets became his classroom, teaching him lessons about trust, betrayal, and survival. Despite this lifestyle, a flicker of doubt persisted, making him aware of the dangers ahead. He would often lie awake at night, grappling with the moral implications of his choices and the life he was leading.

Lucien's family background was far from typical. Raised by a single mother who struggled to make ends meet, he often saw her go without basic necessities to provide for him. She worked long hours in low-paying jobs, leaving little time or energy for nurturing. This absence contributed to a profound sense of neglect, compelling Lucien to seek validation and family-like bonds in the streets. Over time, the individuals he surrounded himself with became more vital than his biological family. They were his brothers and sisters, bound by the struggles of life in a world that often marginalized them. Friendships formed in the heat of chaos created a familial bond forged through hardship. Lucien became part of a group that, while engaging in petty crimes, also created a community where they could find acceptance and understanding. They shared stories of their past, collectively lamented their struggles, and reinforced the idea that they were all in this together. This bond provided solace amid the turbulence of their lives, but it also anchored him deeper into a world of crime.

As the years passed, Lucien's pursuits became more dangerous and complex. Small-time thefts evolved into organized operations that required planning and strategy. The thrill of pulling off a successful heist provided not just financial gain but also a rush that became intoxicating. The darker aspects of his life began to emerge; moral dilemmas blurred when faced with the prospect of earning large sums of money. Convincing himself that he could still maintain a semblance of right as long as he followed a personal code of ethics became a way to justify his choices.

By the time he hit his twenties, the streets had transformed him entirely. He had tattooed his arms with symbols representing his loyalty to his crew, each marking signifying a bond to those who had helped him along the way. These tattoos became a badge of honor, showcasing his commitment to the life he had chosen. However, along with the identity it provided came significant risks. Law enforcement intensified their efforts to dismantle street crime operations, creating a more perilous environment for those embedded in the underbelly of society. Yet the allure of power and wealth overshadowed any caution he might have felt. Lucien became obsessed with the idea of amassing enough influence and resources to retire comfortably by thirty. He began to network with more significant players in the underworld, striving to elevate his status from a mere street hustler to a respected leader in the black market. This quest for respect led him into a web of dangerous connections, each with their ambitions and agendas.

The deeper he fell into the criminal lifestyle, the more isolated he became from the outside world. Relationships with those not involved in crime dwindled, replaced by alliances built on mutual benefit and betrayal. Close friends turned into rivalries as the competition for dominance grew fierce. Trust began to erode, and paranoia took hold, creating a sense of tension that coursed through every interaction.  Lucien often questioned the life he was living, wondering if there would ever be a way out. He thought of those he had lost along the way—friends who had been caught or killed in violent circumstances. Yet, each time he contemplated escaping this path, the weight of his choices anchored him firmly in place. The idea of starting anew felt overwhelming, as it would require abandoning the only life he knew—a life that, albeit fraught with danger, also provided structure and familiarity.

In quiet moments, Lucien would reflect on his childhood dreams, recalling the ambitions he once had of being something more, of escaping the clutches of the streets. Those dreams faded further into the past as the allure of power and loyalty grew stronger. The streets had offered him a sense of belonging, something he had craved deeply in his youth.  Despite the glamour and thrill of the criminal lifestyle, the reality was stark and often harsh. Fear of betrayal loomed large in the air, and loyalty was a currency that could change hands daily. Trust was hard-earned and easily lost, leaving him constantly on guard. Lucien learned to navigate this treacherous terrain, balancing the precarious relationships he formed with others who shared his ambition. Each decision led him closer to becoming a black market leader. With every contact he made and each deal he struck, Lucien's influence grew. He became adept at reading people, picking up on subtle cues that hinted at loyalty or treachery. These skills would prove invaluable as he maneuvered through the dangerous world he inhabited, ensuring he could maintain his grip on power even as the stakes rose.

gular goal of establishing dominance now came with a heavy burden. The more he gained, the more he realized that chasing power came with an endless cycle of violence and betrayal. Days turned into weeks, filled with schemes and betrayals that made him question if this was the life he truly wanted. There were moments he longed for a different way of life, but the fear of abandoning those who relied on him held him back. Lucien felt tied to his past in a way that felt both empowering yet suffocating. With every success, he pondered what legacy he would leave behind—a legacy crafted from darkness and deception. As he navigated these complexities, Lucien understood that the path he chose had led him to an inevitable conflict between ambition and morality. Though the streets had provided him with opportunities, they also threatened to consume him entirely. With each passing day, the weight of his choices pressed on him, forcing him to confront the very essence of who he had become. Craving more than survival, he began to seek a deeper understanding of himself, wondering if redemption was possible amidst a life entwined with crime. Ultimately, Lucien's story would serve as a testament to the influence of one’s environment on choices and identity. As he stood at the precipice of potential transformation, he would need to grapple with the future he envisioned. Would he continue down the dangerous path laid before him, or was there a way to navigate the world he knew and emerge unscathed? Only time would reveal his true course, and whether the flickering doubt in his heart would guide him toward a new beginning or pull him deeper into the shadows.

Provide us with 3 examples of permission escalation and OOC POV (i.e., You’re KOed and you gain minor permissions on them). Include the IC scenario as well:

  1. After three insults, I would be given minor perms as shown. I would be in black attire with a mask which makes me unidentifiable. I would then act out on the minor perms.

  1. If I were to be knocked out and the other was unmasked, I would be able to act on major perms. I would wear black attire and a mask to make me unidentifiable and then I would act on major perms or BP, likely breaking a bone or taking a limb depending on the situation.

  1. If I were to act on major perms given to me through proper combat rp, the other person would more than likely, if stated in the rules, get KPS or MP on my character. They would more than likely be masked and I or anyone else would be unable to find out who it was.
