Motivation behind applying:

My motivation behind this application are all relatively straightforward, but can be limited to 2 different categories. One being a love for writing and genuine desire to help the world building process from the inward out.

I have been role playing for a big majority of my childhood and it's the passion of my writing. Originally I was a one-liner, but I started to branch out into the more detailed sections and I love every bit of it. I have always loved English as a whole even if I may have typos and translate things wrong. It’s a way to communicate with others or to tell a story.

I've always made little google docs of different stories I have made in my childhood for school projects or essays as a whole and I always love to go above and beyond for all of them no matter what the topic was about. It was a lovely feeling to have my ideas played out in ink paper or just digitally.

Now onto the other Topic. As a whole, I love the news. In any type of way, fictional roleplay is a vital aspect of any type of world's realism. Any sort of news type of thing serves as a basis to get in character information icly. It helps characters form opinions on what's happening in the world currently. Rather be good or bad as a whole.

What qualifies you as a quality reporter:

My dedication to uncovering the truth and delivering it was a detailed way, it sets me apart as a reporter. I want to dive into my curiosity along with my good research skills needed for any type of scenario. I have a knack for detail that can ensure accurate reporting into the current situations. And I have a commitment to ethical journalism to have my integrity of work being very much held regarded.

What are you most interested in writing about?

I aim to broaden my horizons and contribute meaningfully to the Falls Chronicle, combining my passion for investigative reporting with a commitment to public service. While my primary interest lies in covering crime and issues related to human crises, my goal is to ensure that East Falls' citizens are well-informed and prepared for the challenges facing our community.

To achieve this, I am eager to establish strong professional relationships with local Clinicians, Sheriffs, and other key figures, conducting frequent interviews to provide accurate and timely updates on systematic changes, policy developments, and significant events. I see this job as a platform to bridge the gap between authority figures and the public, delivering information that is not only factual but also accessible and relevant to our readers.

I hope to use this opportunity to engage with the community on a more personal level. By interacting directly with the people of East Falls, I aim to capture their voices, perspectives, and concerns. From discussing local crises to lighter topics like weather trends, fashion, and cultural events, my goal is to cover a diverse range of subjects that matter to daily readers and reflect the multifaceted nature of life in East Falls.

I firmly believe that journalism should not be confined by a reporter’s comfort zone. To uphold the ideals of fair and free reporting, I am committed to pushing beyond my limitations, embracing topics, and maintaining an open, unbiased perspective.

Backstory (150 words minimum):

Eileithyia was born into the traditional Goto clan, where discipline and perfection defined her upbringing. From a young age, she was groomed for a path dictated by her family’s strict expectations. Her childhood revolved around mastering the traditional arts, learning tea-making, cooking, and other domestic skills, all designed to mold her into the ideal geisha and housewife. At 15, her family chose her to follow the path of a geisha, forcing her into a life of rigid structure and public admiration. Though praised for her mesmerizing performances, she felt trapped and yearned for freedom.

A devastating heartbreak further shaped her resolve, leading her to leave her family and their suffocating traditions behind. In Yokohama, she discovered figure skating, a passion that allowed her to express herself freely. She quickly rose in the sport, capturing attention and competing locally. However, a severe injury ended her skating dreams, leaving her heartbroken once more. Seeking a fresh start, Eileithyia decided to move to America, determined to build a life on her own terms.

Write a short example of what you can do; an article of 100 words minimum, 500 maximum :

A massive fire erupted at the forest early Tuesday morning, sending plumes of thick, black smoke into the air and forcing evacuations across a wide area. The fire, which broke out around 8:15 AM, threatened nearby businesses and neighborhoods, triggering an all-hands emergency response.

Flames engulfed a storage area containing flammable chemicals, creating intense heat and periodic explosions. Fire crews from across the town rushed to the scene, using specialized foam to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading.

Firefighters battled the blaze for over six hours before it was brought under control. Fortunately, no fatalities were reported, but six people were hospitalized for burns and smoke inhalation, with two in critical condition.

“It was one of the most dangerous situations we’ve faced in years, the chemicals involved meant we had to fight the fire strategically to avoid a catastrophic chain reaction.”

"We were up against a monster,” - "Chemical fires are unpredictable. You don’t just fight flames.. you fight explosions, toxic fumes, and the unknown. My team did everything they could to contain it, but it’s not something you can prepare for entirely."

“At first, I thought it was a drill. Then I smelled it! burning plastic, chemicals. That’s when I knew this was real. People were yelling, 'Get out! Get out!' The heat was unbearable. It was like stepping into an oven.” - "I don’t even remember how I made it out. It’s all a blur."

Early reports suggest the blaze may have been caused by someone who may have thought it was the best idea to start a fire, an arsonist maybe. In addition to the immediate danger, there are concerns about the environmental impact of the fire, mostly concerning the air quality in the area that remains under scrutiny.

Cleanup efforts are already underway, with firefighters and hazardous materials teams and Sheriffs working to secure the site. Displaced residents have been provided temporary shelter, and a hotline has been set up for those needing assistance. As the city begins to recover, questions remain about how this tragedy could have been prevented and what steps will be taken to ensure it doesn’t happen again. Public hearings are expected to address community concerns in the coming weeks.
